Budd’s Temperance
Budd’s Temperance is a new cafe/bar with an emphasis on health and wellness. Serving only non-alcoholic drinks it has a wide range of coffee, teas, kombucha, and smoothies.
Temperance Angels
The Temperance card is the 14th card of the Tarot. It depicts a woman pouring water from one cup to another, and symbolises balance and moderation.
Taking this symbology I created a set of cards for Budd’s Temperance: cards where the angels are pouring water into a V60 coffee brewer, making tea, making cold brew coffee, and pouring kombucha. As Wendy Budd is travelling from Portsmouth to Gosport to start this business I turned the river in the card to the water of the Gosport crossing: with the Spinnaker Tower and No.1 Gunwharf Quays clearly visible in the background.
